Students:
The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith is a great book for a lot of reasons. The book is a murder mystery that at times can be pretty funny, and other times serious. I personally think the book was extremely good, and in my own opinion a lot of people would like it (should they choose to read it). It can be boring for a couple pages but for the most part it's an all around good book. I encourage people to read this.

I recommend The Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter. It's filled with action, mystery, and romance without getting boring.
- Ashley Huuki, 11th grade
I would recommend The Essential Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe. It has a lot of love, gore, and pain. The types of poems contain similes and metaphors and some are love sonnets. You can find it at your local Barnes and Nobel (make sure to stop by Starbucks).

I have read a lot of books in my life, but Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson is by far the best book I’ve ever read. With Amy and Roger being the main characters, they have to make a trip from California to Connecticut together. At first, since Amy’s dad recently died and her brother is in rehab, she is closed off from Roger who is making an honest effort to discover what secret she is hiding, but as the book continues, secrets and hidden feeling begin to reveal themselves. As they make their long journey, they make some unexpected stops to settle nagging disputes, try new things, and just have some fun. Within the covers of this excellent book are some of the saddest, happiest, funniest, and romantic moments you’ll ever read. I would recommend this book to any girl who is looking for a book that she can really connect to and relate to the characters.
- Erin Gast, 12th grade
I would recommend the The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It is a very good book. The emotions portrayed make you relate to the people in both ways. Also, they are good at showing how black people were still discriminated against even though they weren't slaves anymore.
-Kendra Beaudoin, 9th grade
The Harry Potter Series is a great series of books. I recommend these books to all readers. If you're into mystical, magical, and thrilling books, this is the series for you. I am currently reading the fourth book, and I can't wait to tread the rest.
-Trey Beauchamp, 10th grade
I would recommend The Journal of Curious Letters by James Dashner. It's the first book in the 13th Reality Series. It's a combination of action and mystery and it's definitely worth reading.
